ABOUT THE SCHOOL

We are located in Las Arboledas neighborhood in Mexico City, where there was once only a ranch. It was here that Luis Barragán – a famous Mexican architect – and several partners worked on purchased land, divided it and proceeded to design streets, set building standards and create public gardens and fountains. Barragán created a series of brick enclosures, watering troughs, fountains and pools along the majestic eucalyptus boulevard, which was once the main access to the ranch. At the entrance to the neighborhood he built a red stucco wall over 100 meters long, purposely inclined in the middle to emphasize its disappearance into the distance. The uniformity of the stucco wall and the tension of its length gives it the quality of a minimalist statue, emphasized by the small scale of brick pavement on the sidewalks.
